100-member choir will sing Israeli songs

Others include Cantors Don Fischer from Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley, Marc Dinkin of Congregation B'nai Shalom in Walnut Creek, Barry Reich from Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame, Ilene Keyes from Temple Sinai in Oakland, and Carol Delton, an Oakland cantorial soloist and performer.

San Francisco Symphony French horn player Jonathan Ring will perform on "Shir La Shalom," which was sung at the rally where Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin was assassinated.

Piano accompanist will be Daniel Lockert. Master of ceremonies will be Cantor Stephen Richards from Congregation B'nai Tikvah in Walnut Creek.

Musical highlights include Aaron Copland's "Zion's Walls," and Moshe Wilensky's "Uri Tsiyon, " "one of the toughest pieces of Jewish music written," said Winter. "The rhythm is very hard; it takes a good chorus."
