CCJCC to sponsor white elephant sale

Women's clothing by Koret of San Francisco; fashions by Joan Walters, Spumoni, David Wayne, Eber and Fritzi of California; and children's clothing by Spumoni and Mouse Feathers will be included in a white elephant sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, 2071 Tice Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek.

Other items include appliances, records, books, toys, luggage, art works, games, jewelry, tools and more. Proceeds benefit the Center's Senior and Alzheimer's Programs. For information, call (510) 938-7800.

New St. Petersburg JCC director to speak

Alexander Frenkel, director of the newly-created Jewish Community Center in St. Petersburg, Russia, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Temple Isaiah, 3800 Mount Diablo Blvd., Lafayette.
