Interfaith group slated to begin on May 2

A four-week discussion group for interfaith couples will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Congregation Emanu-El, 2 Lake St., S.F.; it continues through May 30.

Rabbi Helen Cohn and Rosanne Levitt, director of the Interfaith Connection will lead the forum. Cost is $40 for synagogue members, $60 for non-members. For information, call the synagogue, (415) 751-2535.

Childcare workshops scheduled

Parents Place in San Francisco will offer several child care workshops next month, beginning with Adjusting to Preschool at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 for $15 per person, $25 per couple.

"Positive Parenting" will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 and continue for four sessions through May 23. Cost is $60 per person, $80 per couple.

"Mothers of Boys" will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6 and continue for three sessions through May 20 for $45.

"Toilet Learning" will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, followed by "Preparing for a Second Child" at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 per person, $25 per couple for either class.

"Only Child" will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at $15 per person, $25 per couple.

"Parenting as a Couple" will convene at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 and 21 for $50.

"Finding Quality Child Care" will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. Cost is $15 per person, $25 per couple.

"Raising Competent Daughters" will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30 and again June 6 at $30 per person, $50 per couple.
