Rabbi to mark 75th birthday with address on memories
To mark his 75th birthday, Rabbi Sidney Akselrad will reminisce about his favorite years at 8 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills.
Akselrad arrived at Beth Am in 1962 and retired in 1986. During his tenure, the congregation membership nearly doubled to nearly 800 families. He received the Jewish Community Service Award, the Stanford University Distinguished Service Award and the Senior Coordinating Council’s Lifetime of Achievement Award.
