Kids, parents learn together in East Bay

The program has an open door policy, welcoming families of diverse and mixed backgrounds. Sessions include music, art, family discussions and other activities.

Beginning in October, Kulanu will have five sessions in both Walnut Creek, at the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center 2071 Tice Valley Blvd., and in Oakland at Jewish Community Services of Oakland & Piedmont, 412 Monte Vista Ave.

Sessions are Sundays, 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 18, Nov. 1 and 15, and Dec. 13, and Friday evening, January 8. A program for the Dublin-San Ramon area is being planned for January.

Cost is $175 per family for all five sessions. For more information or to register, call Isaak-Shapiro, Kulanu coordinator, (510) 839-2900, Ext. 239.

Kulanu is a program of the Center for Jewish Living and Learning of the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay and is made possible by a grant from the Mildred and Lester Shoenfeld Jewish Education Fund of the federation's Jewish Community Foundation.
