Lehrhaus planning 25th anniversary year

As part of a new Lehrhaus "Triangles" program that begins this fall, groups of students from Palo Alto, Tel Aviv and the Galilee will use the Internet to dissect classic Jewish texts together.

Another program, "Looking Back, Looking Forward: the Jewish 21st Century," will focus on the Jewish past and how it will touch the future. During the six-week series at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos, scholars will explore the future of religious pluralism, the arts, interfaith relations and other issues.

Another 25th anniversary program where past and present converge is the Lehrhaus "Dig Tour" of Israel, scheduled in October 1999. The two-week tour will include visiting biblical cities and participating in an archaeological dig.

Additionally, Lehrhaus will conduct its second year of Building Jewish Bridges, an exploration of interfaith marriage.
