One afternoon my aunt called me. “Corrinne, before you say a word, hear me out.”
She proceeded to tell me about this great personal ad she saw in the Jewish Bulletin.
Wow, this guy, Jay, sounded great on paper and even better in his personal recorded message that went along with his ad, which I listened to.
So I went ahead and sent him a note through the Bulletin telling him a little about myself and that it would be great if we could meet. I figured the worst that could happen is if we went on a date and I never saw him again.
The best that could happen is we would meet, fall hopelessly in love and live happily ever after. I admit I am a sucker for happy endings.
Well that is exactly what happened to us.
We had our first date on July 27, 1991. We were engaged on Nov. 21, 1991 and married on Jan. 16, 1993.
We have been married for 10 wonderful years and now have a beautiful daughter who is almost 4 years old.
We are looking forward to many, many more happy years and we owe it all to fate and the Jewish Bulletin.
