Latkes and laughs
Before taking part in the Jewish tradition of comedy and Chinese food on Christmas, why not indulge in “Latkes and Laughs”? Temple Emanu-El in San Jose is presenting a night of comedy and a latke party at the Retro Dome, a vintage cinema that will close in January and then be demolished. The headliner will be Andrew Norelli, who recently appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Jeff Applebaum and Jimmy Gunn also will perform. The Retro Dome also has two performances of “The MeshugaNutcracker” on its pre-closure schedule.
6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Retro Dome, 1694 Saratoga Ave., San Jose. $54-$126. www.templesanjose.org.
