Ancient tunes gone funky. Yemen Blues mixes ancient Jewish Yemeni melodies with West African rhythms, funk and mambo. With lead vocals by Israeli-born Ravid Kahalani, the band sold out its Bay Area debut last year and now returns to play in the San Francisco Jazz Festival.
