Weddings

Karen Boedecker and Casey Wernick were married on July 3, 2016 at the Observation Post in the Presidio by Rabbi Susan Leider.

Karen is the daughter of Aviva and Karl Boedecker of Tiburon and the granddaughter of Naomi Shiff of Seattle and Murray Shiff z”l and the late Dorothy and Karl Boedecker. She is a graduate of Ursinus College and is a communications specialist at Eastern National.

Casey is the son of Judy Rubin and Steve Wernick and Meryl Klein and grandson of Violet Feldman z”l and Milton Feldman z”l and Eve Wernick and Cy Wernick z”l. He is a graduate of West Chester University and is earning his master’s in educational administration at Gwynedd Mercy University near Philadelphia. He is a high school history teacher.

Attendants were the bride’s sister, Robin Boedecker of Portland, Oregon, and Jill Berryman of San Diego, California; and the groom’s brother, Dylan Klein-Denk of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Matt Bulger of Arvada, Colorado.

Karen and Casey met when they were at a USY International Convention while still in high school. After the wedding, Karen and Casey drove across the country, visiting national parks and monuments. They are now living in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
