Weddings
Dr. Doria Charlson and Alexander Holtzman married on June 7, 2026, in Petaluma, California. Rabbi Noa Kushner officiated the ceremony witnessed by family and friends, including Alex’s grandmother, Eleanor Holtzman of New York City, who turned 95 in May. Doria and Alex were born and raised in San Francisco and met as undergraduates at Stanford University. They reconnected in 2023 following graduate school on the East Coast and time living abroad in France (Doria) and China (Alex). Doria works as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance at UC Davis and as a Jewish chaplain at MarinHealth Medical Center. Alex is a Deputy City Attorney at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office. The newlyweds will reside in San Francisco and are overjoyed to be living near their parents and siblings, all of whom live in the Bay Area.
