From “The Wonders”

It’s showtime. How about popcorn and an excellent movie? Or week after week of excellent movies? The Sonoma County Jewish Film Festival is coming around for its 19th annual edition, and leading the lineup is the Israeli film “The Wonders.” In this comedy-drama-mystery, a Jerusalem street artist learns about a charismatic mystic being held captive in his neighborhood. He is subsequently drawn into the mystic’s world of intrigue, conspiracy and cartoons that come to life. Screenings at 1 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Rialto Cinemas, 6868 McKinley St., Sebastopol. $10-$12. Festival continues through November. www.jccsoco.org/filmfestival/films
