International star Matisyahu will headline this year’s Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival. The daylong event takes place from 2 to 7 p.m. June 28 at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center in Los Gatos.

Matisyahu came to prominence over the last decade as a religiously observant Jewish reggae star. He has since shed his beard and black fedora, though he remains a committed Jew. Also on the lineup for the festival: Hot Kugel, the children’s music en­semble Octo­pretzel and local klezmer band the Red Hot Chachkas. In addition to live music, the event features food and arts vendors, as well as children’s activities such as tie-dye, face painting and carnival games.
