Help seniors, people with disabilities and families in need feel the joy of Hanukkah.
S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services is seeking volunteers to assemble and deliver Hanukkah bags filled with holiday food and goodies for hundreds of JFCS clients from the South Peninsula to Sonoma County. Adults and their children can sign up as volunteers.
JFCS is also seeking “chai” donations of $18 to help fill one bag or $36 for two. To make a donation, go to www.jfcs.org/donate and designate your gift to the food pantry.

San Francisco: Assembly will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4. Geared toward families with school-aged children, this event includes a special Shabbat program and after-school snacks. RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 25. Delivery will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.
