National Council of Jewish Women San Francisco Section
Grassroots social justice organization of individuals from all backgrounds who turn progressive ideas into action. Inspired by Jewish values, members and volunteers work to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and to safeguard individual rights and freedoms for all.
The San Francisco section has a 118-year history of fostering leadership, advocacy and programming to address violence, human trafficking, exploitation, discrimination, child neglect and other barriers to individual and community empowerment. In these efforts, it partners with social justice groups, legislators, educators, law enforcement and government agencies and draws on the resources of the national and international networks of this organization.
It is also the co-founder and coordinating agency for the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking (SFCAHT), a coalition with more than 50 government and nonprofit stakeholders committed to fighting modern-day slavery in the broader Bay Area.
