Friends of the Israel Defense Forces
A nonpolitical, nonmilitary organization that supports soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces through health care, well-being and educational programs, in accordance with IDF priorities. This organization is deeply committed to helping ensure that the young men and women of the IDF, who serve to protect the Jewish homeland, have a better life and a brighter future.
Established in 1981 by Holocaust survivors, it is the oldest, largest organization authorized by the IDF Chief of the General Staff to collect charitable donations in the US on behalf of the IDF.
The FIDF Bay Area chapter hosts various events in the Bay Area throughout the year, featuring soldiers and other speakers. The organization is starting a new young professionals chapter.
