The synagogue will offer tours. There will be a children’s play area. Judaica art handmade in Israel and the United States will be for sale. Proceeds benefit Beth Israel’s programs and charities.

Judaic art

Amulets of handmade paper and mixed media by East Bay Jewish artist Lila Wahrhaftig will be on display, along with works by more than a dozen Bay Area artists who specialize in Jewish art, at the Festival of Judaic Arts and Crafts Exhibit and Sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 at Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 2440 Carlmont Drive, Belmont. Also included will be klezmer and Israeli music, folk dancing, workshops, storytelling and kosher food. Admission is free. Information: (415) 341-8774.
