Tay-Sachs carrier screenings to start Tuesday, continue throughout month
Free Tay-Sachs carrier screening for non-pregnant individuals 17 years of age and older, will take place in the East Bay at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Children’s Hospital 747-52nd, Oakland. For information, call (510) 428-3550.
In the South Bay, screenings are scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 28 and Thursday, Feb. 29 at Foothill College’s Campus Center in Los Altos. Call (510) 658-5568.
At Stanford University screenings will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 at the clincical lab. For appointment, call Christine Humphrey at (415) 723-5198.
