Congregation Shir Shalom in Sonoma will celebrate the contributions and talents of local Jewish winemakers at “Knishes, Kugel and Cabernet” — an event the synagogue is billing as the first Wine Country Jewish Winemakers Tasting and Nosh.
The event begins at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at 252 West Spain St. in the town of Sonoma. More then 20 wineries are slated to participate, including BR Cohn, Judd’s Hill, Big Horn Cellars and Ashton Vineyards.
Proceeds from ticket sales will help underwrite Jewish education and cultural events in the wine country.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door, and can be purchased at www.shir-shalom.org/winemakers.
