Oakland Hebrew Day School has announced a $1 million matching gift to the school, as well as the launch of the OHDS Scholarship Match Campaign. An anonymous donor will match dollar for dollar each contribution to the campaign.
The pledge drive, which will reach out to OHDS families and the broader Jewish community, will run through Dec. 31, 2011. Pledges can be paid immediately or over a three-year period. The school is hoping for 100 percent participation from OHDS families.
At the end of the campaign, OHDS will use the funds raised as part of its long-term investment campaign, Hatikvah. The campaign provides an annual income stream to support need-based student scholarships, faculty professional development and academics, as well as long-term financial stability for the school.
