Washofsky is co-author of “Teshuvot for the Nineties,” the latest volume of Reform Jewish responsa, as well as the forthcoming “A Guide for Jewish Living: Religious and Ethical Observance in the Literature and Responsa of the Reform Movement.”

Weekend events include:

*”Creative Ritual: The Rabbis, the Talmud and the Construction of Chanukah,” at 4:15 p.m. Saturday. It will be followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m.

*”Are Physicians Good for the Jews? The Commandment to Practice Medicine,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

*”Reform Responsa: How Jewish Tradition Can Speak Today’s Language,” at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, examines answers written by rabbis to questions of Jewish practice.

The full weekend program Saturday dinner is $50 for those who register before Friday, Feb. 5; $60 after. The lectures without the dinner are $35 before Feb. 5, $40 after.
