Hosted by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, the conference will include 15 speakers, such as Rabbi Elliot Dorff of University of Judaism in Los Angeles; Arthur Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at University of Pennsylvania; and Laurie Zoloth-Dorfman, director of Jewish studies at San Francisco State University.

Co-sponsors include Hebrew Union College — Jewish Institute of Religion and the Central Conference of American Rabbis, in cooperation with University of Judaism and Jewish Reconstructionist Federation-West Coast Region.
