Journalist will address Jewish issues of the 21st century

Following lunch, a panel will discuss "Who We Are: American Jews at the Millennium." Participants will include Elliot Brandt of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Pacific Northwest region), Rabbi Doug Kahn of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council and East Bay Community Rabbi Zari Weiss.

At 7 p.m. the program will move to the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, 2071 Tice Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek. Goldberg will speak on "Politics and the Media: ABC, MTV, CNN and Election 2000."

Goldberg is author of "Jewish Power: Inside the American Jewish Establishment." He is a New York correspondent for the London Jewish Chronicle and a contributing editor of the Israeli news magazine Jerusalem Report.

The annual event has been previously known as the Contra Costa Kallah and Women's Education Day.
