Correspondent | June 23, 2000 The other two classes are 10 sessions each of an intensive modern Hebrew ulpan, or Hebrew immersion. Level Alef is for beginners. It helps students develop basic conversational skills by teaching a significant vocabulary and simple Hebrew sentence composition. Level Beth is for intermediate students. It introduces new vocabulary, grammar and speaking, and comprehension skills for everyday contexts. Both classes meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 20. Level Alef begins at 6:45 p.m. Level Beth commences at 8:15 p.m. Tuition for each class is $70 for ages 14 to 17, $110 for members of South Peninsula Learning Consortium, and $135 for non-members.
