Jazz singer Kat Parra, who performs the Ladino music of her Sephardic ancestors, will headline a concert in San Francisco with her band, the Sephardic Music Experience.

Also joining them on stage for the Jan. 18 show at Yoshi’s Jazz Club will be the Temple Sinai Choir, guitarist Jason McGuire and percussionist Ravi Gutala.

A Berkeley resident, Parra has released two previous CDs. Her newest, the just-released “Dos Amantes,” is a collection of Ladino classics. Ladino is the language of the Jews of medieval Spain, forced into exile in 1492.

The concert takes place 8 p.m. Jan. 18 at Yoshi’s, 1330 Fillmore St., S.F. Tickets are $10 to $14. For ticket information, call (415) 655-5600, and to see Parra’s full upcoming schedule, visit www.katparra.com.
