Nigunim, the East Bay Jewish Folk Chorus, begins its new season at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27.
The group has two chapters that meet weekly to sing Jewish folk music in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew and English. The East Bay chapter meets at the JCC of the East Bay, 1414 Walnut St., Berkeley, at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays; the San Francisco chapter meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Congregation Ner Tamid, 1250 Quintara St., S.F.
Nigunim performs twice a year — in June and around Chanukah.
