Comedian Sarah Silverman spoke at the Israeli Presidential Conference in Jerusalem at the invitation of Israeli President Shimon Peres.

In Silverman’s remarks June 21 at the third annual conference, held at the Jerusalem International Convention Center, she encouraged Israelis and Palestinians to apply a “buddy movie formula” to their conflict — that is, two hostile entities finding a common goal and working together to achieve it.

Silverman, who is Jewish, is slated to perform in Tel Aviv on Saturday, June 25.
