The name was reported July 6 by People magazine, citing an unnamed source. Portman’s representatives have not confirmed the name. Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The boy is the first child for the couple, who met on the set of “Black Swan.” Portman, 30, was born Natalie Hershlag in Jerusalem; Portman is her grandmother’s maiden name. — jta J.
