Correspondent | January 20, 2012 Local chapters of the Jewish Learning Institute will present a six-part course, “Money Matters: Jewish Business Ethics,” later this month. The course will be taught by Chabad rabbis at several Bay Area locations, including a new San Francisco site (Jewish Community High School of the Bay, 1835 Ellis St.),which starts Feb. 2. Other locations include Redwood City, Walnut Creek and Lafayette. The course, which starts Tuesday, Jan. 24, Thursday, Jan. 26 or Feb. 2 depending on location, runs for six consecutive weeks. Drawing on traditional rabbinic and Torah sources, the curriculum covers multiple topics, some of them contemporary. They include insider trading, a living wage, personal bankruptcy, unions and executive compensation. The course is eligible for CLE continuing education credits for attorneys.
