CJM celebrating Passover with free admission

The Contemporary Jewish Museum is offering free admission April 17-22 for Passover. Current exhibits on display include “Arthur Szyk and the Art of the Haggadah,” which features original paintings from the Szyk haggadah, first published in 1940 after he fled Nazi-occupied Europe, and “To Build and Be Built: Kibbutz History,” which explores the history and development of the Israeli collectives.

The CJM is also throwing a special Passover fundraiser April 19 billed as “Late Night at the Jewseum: The Out of Order Seder.” The event features a DJ, cocktails and a chance to view the museum’s exhibits late at night. The party starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are $75.

The CJM is located at 736 Mission St., S.F. For more information, visit www.thecjm.org.
