To mark the 30th anniversary of the Friends of the Jewish Community Library, Cantor Sharon Bernstein will headline a concert of Jewish music from around the world. “The Joy of Jewish Song,” offered Thursday, May 8, features songs in Ladino, Yiddish, Hebrew and Italian, as well as tunes from the American musical theater. The concert is free, and RSVPs are recommended. The cantor at San Francisco’s Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, Bernstein has performed in Europe, Israel and across the United States. For the Jewish Community Library show, she will be joined by an ensemble of guitar, piano and percussion. “The Joy of Jewish Song” takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at the Jewish Community Library, 1835 Ellis St., S.F.
