Correspondent | June 27, 2014 Members of the Bay Area Jewish community were slated to come together June 26 for an evening of solidarity for Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrah, the three kidnapped Israeli teens. A joint invitation to the one-hour event was issued by the S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council and Jewish Community Federation, the Jewish Federation of the East Bay and the Board of Rabbis of Northern California. The event at Congregation Beth Sholom in San Francisco was to include remarks from leaders of the above groups and others, including Andy David, the Israeli consul general for the Pacific Northwest. Jewish educator-musician Jonathan Bayer was scheduled to perform. The invitation said the event would be “a gathering of prayer and support” and that “our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Eyal, Naftali and Gilad.” J. Correspondent Also On J.
