Correspondent | January 30, 2015 Members of the group RJeneration will be honored at the S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services’ Émigré Community Gala next week. The 14th annual gala is set for Feb. 7 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. RJeneration, a JFCS affiliate group, is made up of Russian-speaking Jews in their 20s through 40s who are giving back to the local community as volunteers, leaders and philanthropists. “RJeneration members, their friends and their families play an integral role in supporting programs that feed the hungry, take care of our seniors, and make sure that our children get the help they need to grow up to be healthy and strong,” said Anita Friedman, JFCS executive director. “We are forever grateful for the generous amount of time and resources they provide to help everyone in our community.” The event will be equal parts celebration and fundraiser, according to JFCS. The evening will begin with appetizers and wine at 6:30 p.m., with dinner and program to follow at 8 p.m. Dancing and entertainment will feature music by Ukrainian singer Irene Rosenfeld and the klezmer-rock band Golem. Tickets start at $195 for guests 35 and younger. For more information or reservations, visit www.jfcs.org, call (415) 449-1256 or email [email protected] The website also includes information about raffle tickets. J. Correspondent Also On J.
