Volunteers needed as S.F.-based federation gears up for Super Sunday Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | January 30, 2015 Super Sunday, the annual one-day telephone fundraising drive for the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation, is scheduled for Feb. 8. Volunteers are needed for two shifts: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 3 to 5:30 p.m. Home base will be the JCC of San Francisco at 3200 California St. Hundreds of people are expected to participate. The phone calls volunteers make will go beyond “just asking for donations,” the federation says. Volunteers will be “helping advance our mission to care for the vulnerable; engage children, individuals and families in Jewish life; and build a just, pluralistic and democratic society in Israel.” The same day, people also can participate in the third annual Ann Bear Memorial Blood Drive, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in a mobile unit in front of the JCCSF.
