The Peninsula Jewish Community Center is seeking athletes, ages 13 to 16, to be a part of its delegation to the JCC Maccabi Games this summer in Dallas. The PJCC will field teams in soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball, volleyball and dance.

Teens interested in sports journalism can attend the Maccabi Games, as well. The annual competition will be held Aug. 2-7 in two locations, Dallas and Milwaukee, with the Maccabi Games and ArtsFest set for Aug. 9-14 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Since 1982, the games have drawn nearly 6,000 Jewish athletes — mainly from North America but also from around the world — who participate in sports competitions, social events and a day devoted to social action.

For more information or to register, contact recreation director Nicole Francis at the PJCC at [email protected] or (650) 378-2726.
