It’s a nosh-in — plain, shmeared, as you like it — when six local bagel-makers face off in The Great Bagel Taste Test, a double-blind benefit for the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Storyteller Joel ben Izzy will feast fressers with bagel tales and celebrity tasters include Andy Altman-Ohr, J. managing editor and food columnist, and Elizabeth Weil, who notoriously panned California bagels in the New York Times Magazine.
