Marty Allen, in the spotlight. After decades on Broadway, TV and in comedy clubs across America, the veteran performer is ready to celebrate his 94th birthday in style. He’s bringing a new musical comedy act co-starring his wife, Karon Kate Blackwell, to the stage in Mill Valley. “It’s almost Burns and Allen,” he says, “only I’m Gracie.”

Purim at Ashkenaz. The Aquarian Minyan returns to its traditional Purim venue, Ashkenaz Music & Dance in Berkeley, to present this year’s Purimshpiel, “A Good and Moral Land: The War Between the Sexes and Government-Enforced Sexism.” The fun starts with a Megillah reading and continues after the play with food, drinks and dance music by Achi Ben Shalom and Adama.
