Yair Harel

‘Singing and dreaming.’ Israeli musician and hazzan Yair Harel will lead an evening of music and communal singing focusing on piyyutim, Hebrew liturgical poetry set to music. Harel is familiar to many in the Bay Area who met him during his two-month residency at the Magnes museum in 2014. The event, co-sponsored by Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, JIMENA, Be’chol Lashon and Jewish Community High School, will benefit Harel’s Kehilat Zion congregation in Jerusalem.
