‘Mostly Kosher’ … totally rockin.’ What started as straight-line klezmer has evolved into a radical septet that combines traditional Jewish-Yiddish sounds with hip-hop, Eastern European folk, samba and more. The L.A-based band is called Mostly Kosher, and its musicians will be extremely busy starting next week: five Bay Area shows within 120 hours.

June 23 at Congregation Ner Shalom, Cotati, 7 p.m.; June 24 at Red Poppy Art House, S.F., 8 p.m.; June 25 at Ashkenaz, Berkeley, 7:30 p.m.; June 26 at Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival, Los Gatos, 4 p.m.; June 27 at Saul’s Deli, Berkeley, 6 p.m. Prices range from free to $18.
