Vodka and Latke 5.0. Hebrew Free Loan’s annual Hanukkah party featuring a gourmet latke bar and music by DJs Volchegroovesky, Seba and Sake One. At Venue 550, 550 15th St., S.F. 8 p.m. $54 advance tickets, $60 at the door.

Hanukkah in Paris. Charity soiree with toy and coat drives for Toys for Tots and Project Homeless Connect. Includes live DJ and the Give Light project by Reboot. At Hotel Zeppelin, 545 Post St., S.F. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. $15-$25.

‘Hummus Where the Heart Is’. Mingle with Jewish young adults, and learn new recipes at “NOSH:pitality,” a DIY dinner featuring Israeli street food. Participants will make their own pita along with Ethiopian, Israeli, Tunisian and American variations of hummus, and then enjoy the fruits of their labor. Sponsors include JIMENA, Moishe House, Hebrew Free Loan and OneTable.

Latkepalooza returns. Bring the family to the Peninsula JCC’s free community celebration, featuring crafts and games for children and wine tasting with Harken Spirits for adults. The event also features the lively sounds of the Shamati Acoustic Trio, a holiday gift marketplace, a sing-along and — yes — lots of latkes.
