‘Lost Stories, Found Images.’ More than 10 years after the death of Dutch photographer Annemie Wolff, a researcher stumbled upon her undeveloped film from 1943. The collection included portraits of Amsterdam Jews, some of whom did not survive the Holocaust. (Hilde Jacobsthal, pictured above, was among the survivors.) The photographs will be displayed for the first time, along with the subjects’ identities and stories, at the opening reception for  “Lost Stories, Found Images: Portraits of Jews in Wartime Amsterdam,” which runs through April 17.

7 p.m. Thursday,  Feb. 26 at Goethe-Institut, 530 Bush St., S.F. Free. RSVP requested. www.jewishfed.org/lost-stories
