* The Sunday, Dec. 27 discussion of “A Time to Mourn, A Time To Comfort,” by Ron Wolfson (Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, 1993, and Jewish Lights, 1996, both are $16.95) will take place at 7 p.m. at a private home.
Club members will read “The Promise,” by Chaim Potok in January and “The Shtetl: The Life and Death of a Small Town and the World of Polish Jews,” in February. March holds a special recipe exchange and potluck dinner meeting for the reading of Joan Nathan’s “Jewish Cooking in America.”
