Two Jewish musical ensembles will put on a high-energy concert in support of Coastside Jewish Community at “Shalom by the Sea: An Afternoon of Jewish/Soul Music” on Nov. 7.
The event will be held from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Oceano Hotel & Spa, 280 Capistrano Road, Half Moon Bay. Performances will span music genres of folk, rock, Israeli, Yiddish, Sephardic and more. A light lunch will be served.
Jhos Singer, spiritual leader of the Half Moon Bay–based community, and cantorial soloist Julie Batz will join their seven-piece Band of Angels, with Bay Area bluegrass band Kitchen Help sharing the stage.
