Denise Sherer Jacobson has been an activist in the independent living movement for over 50 years. She is the author of the 1999 memoir “The Question of David: A Disabled Mother’s Journey Through Adoption, Family, and Life” and was a consultant on the documentary "Crip Camp." She lives in Oakland and belongs to Temple Sinai.
